My Story

Working with Barefoot Books is a terrific complement to my work as a professional children's entertainer, a math teacher at Concord Academy and father to my three year old son.

In all likelihood you have come to this site via www.frompagetoplay.com and so you know more about my career as a children's entertainer.  Now you want to learn more about my role as a stallholder.  Here's my story:

I love the creativity and energy of children.  When my own son was born, I realized that working near home and at home was the number one priority.  Writing and performing stories gave me this chance and I have been very fortunate to have spent the last three years reading, singing and playing with my son.  I've also met some great people and learned much about children's entertainment.  One company that I continue to cross paths with is Barefoot Books.  When I learned more about their story it sounded so much like my story that I knew I had to get involved.  So here's what I've done:

I met with the US editor at Barefoot Books and have submitted several of my own stories for publication.  (my fingers are crossed)

I asked for permission to perfom some of my favorite Barefoot Books at my live performances. (they said yes!!!)

On June 13th I spent the morning at the Flagship store in Cambridge volunteering for their story hour.  What a thrill it was to read some of my favorite Barefoot Books and intermix some of my own original work.  I got great feedback and an open invitation to come back.

I became a Barefoot Books Stallholder.

So please explore my Barefoot Books site to learn about the company, buy books, set up a book party or read about how to become a stallholder as well.  To return to the Bouncing Donkeys at From Page To Play click here:  www.frompagetoplay.com
